Kids Wrestling: Teaching competence, confidence & success!

The purpose RW Wrestling in Frankston is to initiate your school kids and youth into the sports of wrestling and to provide them with the new sporting opportunities and experiences. Wrestling represents many skills similar to other sports, speed of a 100m sprinter; flexibility of a gymnast; strategy of a chess player; strength of a weightlifter and endurance of a long distant runner.

Kids and youth will always be attracted to wrestling because they have been "practicing" these skills of the sports since an early age. Wrestling combines all into ‘one’, and that is why we have wrestling being identify as one sport, not to mention being an Olympic sport.

At RW Wrestling every kid and youth can wrestle. Kids and youth don’t need to be tall in order to make the team and individuals of all shapes and sizes can excel and enjoy the sport.

Kids and youth enjoy physical activity that makes them strong and improves their condition. The result is a positive self-image, self-control and healthy self-esteem.

RW Sport Specific offers great wrestling clinics. In our clinics each individual is in constant motion, everyone is participating in learning about the sport; and everyone is involved in live wrestling and the action. It is the universal sport of all sports and can enhance the skills of competitors in AFL, rugby, soccer, track, cross-country, grappling and so on. There are many reasons kids and youth enjoy wrestling and many benefits from participation.

Each individual will learn about competence, confidence and success.

Comments on 2020 Wrestling

To become elite world-class athlete you are required to work hard and have the drive to become elite wrestler. 2020 Wrestling program coach Richard Weiss understands this requirement and can take his athletes where they need to be, from start to finish. I coached Richard for the 1998 Freestyle World Wrestling Championships in Iran and even then it was no different, hard work made him better. Any Aussie kids who have the chance to train and become part of the 2020 Wrestling program will be fortunate and will go far. I am looking forward to see 2020 Wrestling program athletes’ excel at the national and international wrestling arenas in the coming years!

Kid’s Fitness & 2020 Wrestling with an Olympian

Kids and youth will have fun with the active strength & conditioning program designed to address their physiological and mental development through sport specific exercises. The sessions are designed to motivate kids to be active, learn the fundamentals of strength and conditioning training, develop greater mobility & flexibility, multilateral and unilateral exercises, and build confidence in having fun in the safest environment.

Kids who are interested in wrestling and want to just join for fun or want to become athletes our 2020 Wrestling club’s aim is to see new talents being identified and developed to reach the elite level in their junior & senior years. We are focusing on developing new champions that will participate at national and international wrestling levels with competence, confidence and be successful at 2014 Junior World Wrestling Championships.
